Stric-Lan Companies, LLC is a family owned and operated diversified service company with an established history of providing outstanding results. Our portfolio includes completions, production and pipeline operations. Celebrating our 53rd year in business, Stric-Lan continues to operate nationwide. We are known for delivering premium work to our clients including, but not limited to, well testing, flowback, and pipeline. Our story began with well testing onshore and offshore and over the years we have expanded our service lines adding pipeline divisions with offices in Pennsylvania and Louisiana.

Our excellent safety record – 1 million manhours without a recordable incident – paired with a proven ability to problem solve for customers through specialized consulting, results in minimal downtime and maximum productivity. We’ve accomplished this by maintaining our exceptional attention to detail and determination to go the extra mile. These core values, both on land and offshore, have been instrumental in our success since the company’s inception in 1972.

Accomplishments

Stric-Lan has tested the most wells in the GOM & Gulf Coast region.
Pioneered high rate pipeline separation work since 1995 – flowed 1.1BCF of gas during a project in California.
Established deepwater subsea flowbacks in the GOM while working for one of the majors.
Flowback Group routinely performs frac monitoring, drillouts and flowbacks on 8-10 well pads in high rate gas/condensate areas.

Executive Management

Gary Landry

President

Gary has worked at Stric-Lan full time since 1978 in offshore/onshore operations, sales, leadership, and senior management capacities. Currently Gary is President, and oversees Stric-Lan Sales/Operations management, Financials, and is a Board member. He has been in that capacity since his father’s passing in 2002. He is involved with clients frequently to ensure service quality and safety on every job. He represents and promotes Stric-Lan at industry functions, and is on the LAGCOE Board of Directors.

Karen Oertling

CEO

Karen has worked at Stric-Lan for over 40 years in various administrative and senior management capacities. Her primary focus is on the financial side of the company. Karen and her brother, Gary Landry, have owned the company together since their father, Ronnie Landry, passed away in 2002.

Bill Nice

Vice President

Bill has worked at Stric-Lan since 1997, primarily as the company’s Vice President. He has extensive experience in Operations, HR, Safety, Quality and Training. His primary role is utilizing his versatility and fiscal acumen to fill gaps in the process as things change in the company and in the industry. Bill has a B.S. in Business Administration; and an M.S. in Safety Management from West Virginia University in Morgantown, WV.

Larry Courville

CFO

Larry has been with Stric-Lan since 2016. He is an integral part of the companies’ leadership effort. Larry was promoted to CFO in 2022, and leads the company’s financial and admin. functions. Larry is a licensed CPA with a degree in accounting from McNeese St. University in Lake Charles, LA.
